Victorian Jewellery - Emerald green

For most of us when we speak of Victorian jewellery, have in mind the imposing coloured pieces. From 1860s women emerged in to business and politics, taking up jobs as clerks, factory workers and teachers.
 
That was the birth of costume jewellery - gold, precious stones and diamonds were replaced with affordable metals and semi precious stones. The indian version of Victorian jewellery uses silver with polki and cubic zircons with antique polish!
